Society of Recorder Players

Jazz Workshop with David Moses

Saturday 5th. October 2024.

David Moses

David Moses

David has been writing music for recorders since the mid-1970s when he was a member of the original London Recorder Orchestra, which he featured in two of his Tinderbox concerts for children at the Purcell Room and Queen Elizabeth Hall on London's South Bank. He is now one of the conductors of that orchestra as well as musical director of South London SRP branch and the British Recorder Light Orchestra (BRLO). He is increasingly in demand as a conductor at Society of Recorder Players' branch meetings, so is continually having to come up with new music for them to play.

In 2023 he led the first of his five Jazz themed SRP Training Workshops which were mentioned at the 2024 SRP Festival as currently being the most popular.
He has also written pieces for Helen Hooker's Mellow Tones Recorder (8 foot) Orchestra, the National Youth Recorder Orchestra and the London Youth Recorder Orchestra.
